the Arctic Circle.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"css-79elbk\"><span lang=\"en\">They&#8217;re usually green or pink, and the best time to see them is from September until April from about 9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"css-54q8sn\"><span class=\"css-79elbk\"><span lang=\"en\">Here are three great places to view the northern lights:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"css-h773az\">\n<div class=\"css-1sw3sz9\"><span class=\"css-79elbk\"><span lang=\"en\">Lapland, Finland<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"css-54q8sn\"><span class=\"css-79elbk\"><span lang=\"en\">The northern lights can be seen on about 150 nights a year in Lapland, a region in the north of Finland.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"css-79elbk\"><span lang=\"en\">One popular place is Ounasvaara, a mountain about a 10-minute drive from the city center of Lapland&#8217;s capital, Rovaniemi.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"css-54q8sn\"><span class=\"css-79elbk\"><span lang=\"en\">However, it&#8217;s best to go to places where there is no light pollution to see the northern lights.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"css-79elbk\"><span lang=\"en\">Visitors can take bus and van tours from Rovaniemi, or go out to see the lights on skis or snowmobiles, or even get pulled by reindeer.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<figure the country to see the northern lights.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"css-79elbk\"><span lang=\"en\">The city has many parks where visitors can go to see them.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"css-54q8sn\"><span class=\"css-79elbk\"><span lang=\"en\">Van and bus tours also drive visitors out of the city, and boat tours go out to sea to see the lights better.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"css-79elbk\"><span lang=\"en\">Thingvellir National Park, about 50 kilometers from Reykjav\u00edk, is also a popular option.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<figure kilometers north of the Arctic Circle.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"css-79elbk\"><span lang=\"en\">Visitors can see the northern lights right in the city, especially near parks or Prestvannet lake, where it&#8217;s darker.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"css-54q8sn\"><span class=\"css-79elbk\"><span lang=\"en\">The lights can sometimes even be seen when flying into
